AIRS Documentary Screening & Youth Dialogue with YouthBridge-NY

On April 14, 2025, AOT Founder & Executive Director Vidal Guzman joined YouthBridge-NY for a meaningful conversation with young leaders centered on media, justice, and youth-driven change.

The session featured a screening of the #AIRS documentary and explored how reality television and true crime can shape public perceptions of incarceration and turn real people and trauma into entertainment.

The conversation examined the Carceral Entertainment Complex, the power of storytelling, media accountability, and the connection between media representation and real-world systems.

The discussion highlighted the importance of youth leadership, community organizing, and storytelling in challenging harmful narratives and imagining a more just future.
